The Fordham HIV and Drug Abuse Prevention Research Ethics Training Institute (RETI), now in its eighth year, is a training grant sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Each year, early career investigators across various fields receive research ethics training under principal investigator Dr. Celia Fisher. RETI fellows also conduct studies focused on ethical issues in HIV and drug abuse research. Fellows publish their findings in a variety of high impact journals such as AIDS and Behavior and The Journal of Sex Research. The Fordham University HIV and Drug Abuse Prevention Research Ethics Training Institute (RETI) is now accepting applications for the 2020 Summer Institute and Mentored Research Program.
- Attend two summer training institutes with fully funded travel and lodging beginning July 13-21, 2020 in New York City
- Receive a $30,000 grant to conduct a mentored research study that will contribute to evidence-based HIV and drug abuse research ethics practice
- Join an international network of scholars examining current challenges in HIV and drug abuse research ethics
Applications are due March 11, 2020. Applicants will be notified of award decisions by April 27, 2020.
