Because of the interdisciplinary nature of ethics, it is relevant and necessary in everything from medicine, business and journalism, to psychology, law, and environmental studies. Ethics is interesting to study, but what are the career options in the field?

On March 27, Fordham University’s Center for Ethics Education answered that question, along with many others, in its second annual Careers in Ethics Panel.

The event featured five panelists:

Naomi Dreisinger, M.D., the chief of the pediatric emergency room at Beth Israel Medical Center

Stefanie Juell, M.A., the Institutional Review Board Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver, and a graduate of the Fordham University M.A. in Ethics and Society

Patricia Voorhees, M.A., of the Consortium of Trustworthy Organizations, and a graduate of the Fordham University M.A. in Ethics and Society

Angelique Rivard, M.A., of the Pace University School of Law

Elizabeth Yuko, Ph.D., LL.M., bioethicist, Program Administrator for the Fordham University HIV Prevention Research Ethics Training Institute, and editor of Ethics & Society

The panel was organized and moderated by Dr. Adam Fried, Director of the M.A. in Ethics & Society Program, and the interdisciplinary minor in bioethics.
